Want to cancel hotel and rebook a villa or home, any recommendations (Bentota, or near)?

Firstly, sending love and donations towards the ongoing flooding crisis.

A group of my close friends (6 of us- two couples and two friends) have planned a 4 night trip to Sri Lanka some time ago, and it’s now coming up in January (a post marriage celebration cooldown). At the moment, we currently have the Cinnamon Bey Beruwala booked, but actually, we’d prefer to have some sort of villa to ourselves while we’re there so that we can just relax and be with each other.

We’re looking at areas like Bentota because we don’t want to get TOO far from Colombo, given that’s where we’re flying from and our trip is only short, if this makes sense.

Does anyone have any recommendations for villas or Airnbnbs that would fall within a £3.5k budget? We have a strong preference for beach access, preferably one we can swim at. Thanks for your help.
