Terrible first layers out of no where
I’m running out of trouble-shooting ideas for a printer issue. The printer has never had problems with first layers since I got it a year ago, but for the last 3 days, the nozzle is too close to the bed, causing wavyness and scratching on the first layer in some areas. The rest of the layer looks fine.
Adjusting the z offset compensates for the areas that were too close but causes the previously fine areas to be too far away.
I’ve been running the K2 improvements with the cartographer, but have since factory reset the printer, removing the cartographer as a means to rule out potential problems
In its stock state I’ve tried using all the built-in calibrations, but the issue persists. The calibration patterns at the start of the print seem to print perfectly fine however.
I’ve also tried heat soaking, different filament and materials, adjusting the z offset, different printer profiles in the slicer, different slicers, and different models, washing the build plate with warm soapy water, and changing the nozzle.
My bed mesh range is high at .64-.67, but that’s been standard since I got the printer.
