tapering off due to weight gain
I started taking lexapro about a year and half ago. I started gaining weight rapidly about 4 months ago. Why?!? Is anytime else like this? Google is so misleading. Saying weight gain is only the first few months. My dr even said “well, studies say it only causes 5-10 lbs of weight gain” I haven’t changed diet or exercise routine. Although, since I started, it did give me my appetite back. I’ve had all the bad side effects too. No sex drive, feeling numb, can’t cry. Before I was 125, I barely ate and was so anxious. Now as of December in 187. OCTOBER… I was 158. What the hell. I decided about a week ago at the dr I’m just getting off. Anxiety is better than 60+ lbs of weight gain. I’m going to start going to a psychiatrist, and if my anxiety gets bad again Im going to try a different anti-anxiety. Any recommendations on ones that don’t cause weight gain? Or even help lose weight? Thank you.
