How does your parent support you during this journey?
I go for my first ever transfer in 3 days. Of course I am being pumped with so many hormones right now. So I cant tell if im just being a cry baby/too needy or if im valid in the way I feel.
My husband hasn't helped me hardly through this journey. We started this back in July. Our clinic is 4.5 hours away, so he does go to every single one and goes into the room with me. But there isnt much of a conversation on IVF topic. No "I'm sorry you have to go through this", no helping with shots, no little thoughtful gifts. Today I said, "well our transfer is in 3 days! Want to talk about it?" Because he wasnt talked about it with me. No excitement or anything. He replies "No, not really".
I get it, he's a man, so its different i guess. I just feel alone in this whole thing. When I was stimming, we went to his friends house to drink. Well they had drinks, I didnt. When I had to do my shots, I did it in the corner of the livingroom with no light. When I walked back, no one looked at me, no one said anything. It would have been so warming to hear "well how was it?!" "Did it hurt?" "How are you feeling?" "You're so strong." "Need anything?" Just some form of thoughtfulness would have been so appreciated. I told him on the way home how I felt, I broke down crying but I didnt get a response... which is so topical with him.
Idk, maybe I just being a baby who needs too much.
