I know AL Nelson exists, but John Fisher is overall better. (RIP AL Hood) I have to say though, i don't have AL Nelson myself but, i feel like John Fisher would work better. Also because i already have my Fisher at 16/2, so there's no need to rank up a commander that i probably would never use because i already got Fisher levelled up high enough. (I actually don't have any Azur Lane commander, honestly)

First of all, the base trait, Furious Temper.

The base trait John Fisher has gives improved main battery range and decreased reload time, which to me is much more relevant than Nelson's base trait, Like a Rock.

Nelson's base trait gives damage reduction, but, it almost doesn't matter because if you get hit in the citadel, you *will* feel it, no matter what. Maybe not as bad as it could have been, but still, Fisher's base trait is more beneficial, because extra range and reduced reload time is simply gonna be more impactful.

Second, Dance with Death.

John Fisher gains access to the skill Dance with Death at skill row 2. Dance with Death is quite literally our equivalent of Adrenaline Rush. Dance with Death does the exact same thing Adrenaline Rush does, improves armaments' reload and main battery turret traverse speed the more health you lose. But in our game, it's watered down, very watered down. So it's not as good as on PC, but it's better to have.

AL Nelson on the second skill row has her unique skill, Big Seven. Which gives 15% more damage, at the cost of penetration at the same amount of percentage. This skill, unless you're using her in Incomparable, i feel like you'll *definitely* feel the reduced penetration. Like i said earlier, i don't have this commander myself, so i wouldn't know how it would be like, but, i suspect you'll definitely feel the difference. Bigger damage but worse penetration is... I guess not good but not bad. I don't know.

Third, Reformer.

Instead of Marksmanship, John Fisher gains access to Reformer at skill row 3. This skill gives improved range, reduced dispersion and also improved torpedo range. But it comes at the cost of reduced max health, down to 4% at 16/3. Which is...not that bad. I mean, you're only losing around 2K health points at most, so that's not too bad.

Meanwhile, Nelson gets classic Marksmanship on the third skill row. Which, offers more accuracy because Marksmanship gives 10% reduced dispersion instead of 7% on Reformer. This is purely subjective, i feel. Both skills are good, but to me, I like having more range. But then again, i wouldn't mind if can't use Reformer because of Marksmanship, vice versa.

And lastly, both gets Master Mechanic. And this is equally good for both commanders. So not much to say there.

Also, John Fisher has his own unique Legendary skill, replacing Will to Rebuild with Speed is my Armour. It gives an extra charge of Engine Boost, reduced reload time of the consumable, improved ship max speed, and damage reduction when Engine Boost is active. This skill is actually pretty good, but I don't think anyone really use it. And for a good reason. HE spamming is one of the most common things in the game, which is why FFwF is still preferred by many.

Overall, to me, John Fisher is the better commander because it gives more beneficial improvements to your guns, like reduced reload time and improved range. And also proved gun stats the more your health drops with Dance with Death.

Also, one thing to note; Nelson is a hybrid battleship commander, having both Brawler, Flammable Cannonier, and also Marksmanship. So you can do either accuracy build or brawler build all in one commander. But like i said, the improvements on John Fisher seems more beneficial.

This is just my opinion, though. You don't have to agree to what i said. You can have your own opinions and i respect it.

The Best British BB/BC Commander, John Arbuthnot Fisher.
