Could I ever break 250k? Thoughts on the path?

Im retired military with about 10 years experience in DoD networks (TS/SAP/NIPR/SIPR) and looking at my options.

I no longer have a clearance and have been retired for about 5 years but am thinking about getting back into work for DoD and CMMC.

The only way I would go back is if it makes sense financially which for me would be 250k+. I enjoy the work, but enjoy the money more.

So 10 years experience, masters, bachelor's, CISSP, lots of experience in classified networks etc...

Do you see any path to $250k or do another of you see $150-200 max for ISSM/ISSE work?
