Asian Mom

I told my Asian mom that I got sexually assaulted when Inwas 14 and her initial reaction to hug me and told me to bring the guy to “Justice” but I told her it’s been 9 years since and he probably moved ,etc.

She didn’t offer any support or anything. Maybe say something like “I’m here for you and I won’t tell anyone” nope I had to say please don’t tell anyone because I never told anyone ever what happened to me then her response is silence.

Then it’s like she moved on like nothing happened. She goes then to compare me to my cousins because their doing “so much better” than me and went to college and their kids are in a pristine school.

Is she being heartless or am I taking this too personally? I’m 23m living with mom and step dad
