What do you think of the theory that Palpatine caused Anakin's visions of Padme's death?

Movies

To me it seems very convenient that his visions started after Palpatine decided to turn Anakin to the dark side after all the years that he groomed him. However the visions that we see are the scenes at the end of the film and I don't like the idea of Palpatine having that level of foresight because it makes him too OP and he was undone at the end by his failure to forsee that his apprentice would throw him down a conveniently located reactor shaft. So I'm not sure.
