Did girl show me a sign or am I misreading her

Basically I am 16, in college and there's this girl (16-17) that I like that I barely talked to before this interaction but things suddenly changed this week and idk how to interpret it. So background information is that we had never interacted until one day it was basically her friends, with one of them being one of my friends who's a girl and I took my chance to join their group study session, but I didn't talk much, she just asked some stuff like my name.

Recently however, we had a pretty important lab, and when I was walking to my bus stop after we were done, she called me from behind and she was with one of her friends and she started walking with me and asking some personal questions (where I live, future plans, etc.) and despite the fact that I was kinda straggling behind her, she kept gesturing me to come closer, and she was smiling and having some eye contact although I was looking away because I was shy.

Even after her friend left because she had a different stop, we happened to have the same spot and we kinda kept talking.

But during that interaction I felt like it was very one sided, with her mostly asking questions and me replying although im pretty confident I wasn't giving dry replies. Now im thinking was she just being friendly or does she probably have interest in me? Ill probably only be able to see her 2 or 3 times more and im wondering if I should maybe shoot my shot or ask her for her number or something, but idk if im misreading her and obviously if thats the case it would be pretty awkward.

Just wondering if im misreading her, and what would be the best move here since I only have a few chances left.
