Zxi 5 vs Zxi 7 vs blended set

I am looking to upgrade from GI irons. I did a fitting and hit the ZXi 7’s better than the 5’s and they felt fantastic (Better spin, better lang angle, more consistent). Of course it was off a mat on a sim, so on course maybe different?
I am nervous to pull the trigger bc the 7’s are supposed to be for the better player, and I do not feel like I am a great player. Hope much less forgiving are the 7’s? How can I figure out if a blended set would be for me? Luckily I am going back to the fitter this week (no charge) and can experiment again. Any questions I can ask to help narrow down my decision?
