top ride steering controls stuck on steer

On top ride, I can't switch "steer" control to "free" control on any profile names. I keep selecting free control, but it just stays on steer.

The only way I can go to free is by pausing during a race. But then it goes right back to steer afterwards

This only happens when I use a profile name. Any ideas?
