I recently picked up samples of Amouage Silver Oud and Royal Tobacco, and gosh, I was so impressed by both of them.

For context, I am a 22-year-old guy (22M). Even though these scents lean towards a mature crowd, they are so good that I wouldn't hesitate to rock them both. Here is my experience with these two confident beasts.

The Scent: This fragrance opens up with a very dark, smoky, and mysterious vibe. It has this earthy, ashy smell that hits you right away. You can tell immediately that the materials used here are top-notch—it just smells incredibly expensive.

As it settles, I pick up a woody, ambery oud in the background. But the real magic happens in the dry down: it turns into this animalic, smoky oud that feels very raw yet sophisticated.

The Vibe: It smells extremely dressed up. It feels like you are surrounded by rich businessmen. It’s a special occasion smell that spells "expensive." While I’d say this is generally for the late-20s crowd, it’s a very sexy, earthy scent that a younger guy can pull off if he has the confidence.

2. Amouage Royal Tobacco
The Scent: First off—this is nothing like the other popular expensive tobaccos like Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille or Tobacco Oud. Do not expect that profile.

This starts off with a very sweet, spicy tobacco smell. For the first 2 hours, it is a heavy blend of spices and tobacco with a tint of vanilla sweetness. Take my word for it: if you don't like tobacco, you won't like this. But if you love tobacco, you will really enjoy this ride.

The Dry Down: After the opening aggression calms down, the spices tone down and you get a beautiful sweet tobacco that stays linear. It smells very expensive and high-class.

Final Verdict: The Common Ground
The Vibe & Wearability: Both of these are extremely confident and sensual scents.

Impression > Compliments: Don't wear these expecting the easy, mass-appealing compliments you get from fresh "blue" scents. These aren't for pleasing everyone; these are for leaving an impression.

Style: They are very masculine. While you can wear them anywhere you want to make a statement, they hit different when you are suited up or rocking a leather jacket.

Performance: They perform like crazy. I get 10-12 hours of longevity easily with strong projection. They justify every penny of their price tag because they smell like true niche perfumery.

My Advice: Even at 22, I love these. If you have the bucks, go for them with no second thoughts—they will not disappoint. Just don't make them your daily signature scent; keep them for when you want to dominate the room.
