Saved this info after helping a friend last month – sharing in case anyone here ever needs it (bail bonds)
Hey everyone,
A close friend of mine got arrested a few months ago (non-violent charge, first offense, total shock). Watching how fast everything moves at 2 a.m. when someone’s in jail was insane.
A few things I learned the hard way that I wish someone had told us sooner:
• You don’t have to come up with the full bail amount yourself. A licensed bail bondsman can get you/them out in a few hours for usually 10% (sometimes less with a payment plan).
• The 10% fee is non-refundable — even if the case gets dismissed. That’s just how it works.
• If someone co-signs and the person skips court, the co-signer is now on the hook for the entire bail.
• Most good bondsmen are truly 24/7 and answer the phone at 3 a.m.
My cousin has been doing this in Orange County for over 12 years and is honestly one of the most decent humans in the business — zero judgment, fast, and works with people who have no money up front. If you or someone you know ever ends up in this nightmare situation and needs help right away, feel free to DM me and I’ll send you his direct cell. No pressure, no sales pitch — just trying to pay it forward because he helped us when we were desperate.
Hope none of us ever need this, but saving the post takes 2 seconds and could save someone days in jail.
(Mods, if this breaks any rules please let me know and I’ll take it down, just trying to help the community.)
