XM6 Microphone Sounds Terrible with Mac

I recently purchased the Sony XM6 and the noise cancellation and sound quality are both incredible. However, when on FaceTime and on Zoom calls, I get complaints that my microphone sounds like I’m underwater. I’m not sure if this is some sort of compatibility issue with Apple products but I’ve never had this before with my XM4 or my XM5. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
