Lip tie correction

Anyone had a lip tie corrected?

Was baby upset? For how long? Is there any aftercare necessary? Did it solve the issue?

My girl (9w) has a moderate tie and it results in her losing suction while nursing or having a bottle, there's a lot of clicking. She's gaining weight fine now, so we're on the fence. Any insight is appreciated.
