I am a Full Stack Developer in Algeria who bootstrapped a platform to 75k+ active users in under a year with $0 funding. AMA about scaling, production hell, and developing

I’m a Full Stack Developer based in Bejaia, Algeria. I specialize in building scalable web apps with limited resources.

The Project: I identified a gap in the local market for a centralized digital community, so I built and launched e-campus (and its associated ecosystem). Since launching in Jan 2025, the platform has grown to 75,000 active users entirely through organic growth.

The Tech Stack:

Frontend: [React / Next.js / Tailwind CSS]

Backend: [Node.js / Python Django / Go]

Database: [PostgreSQL / MongoDB]

Infrastructure: [Docker / Nginx / VPS]

Why I’m doing this AMA: Building this wasn't smooth. I had to deal with high latency, unstable internet infrastructure, scaling a database with zero budget, and optimizing "spaghetti code" while the user base was exploding.

Ask Me Anything about:

Bootstrapping: How I got 75k users with $0 marketing spend.

The Tech: Handling high traffic on cheap servers (optimization hacks).

The Reality: Being a dev in North Africa (payment gateways blocking us, internet cuts, limited access to paid tools).

Production Stories: That time I broke the database in production and had to fix it live.

I’ll be answering questions for the next 48 hours. Ask away!
