Wheels and tires

Hello again, I just had a few questions because I’m searching around and have an understanding of it but want a bit more help to check my facts

Unfortunately I am not building it for crazy performance like a race car it’s more for looks and style with a sleeper build in the engine but I’m focusing on the suspension, brakes and wheels it’s a 1987 nissan 300zx z31 kouki

So I see a lot of people talk about size 17 or 18 tires with +22 which I think is the offset? And such but I’m looking for tires that could help with looks but also daily driving and with a ceika type 1m coilover kit

I’m ranting but would that mess up the tires? Should I just get stock sizes? I live in an area that has a decent amount of potholes but nothing crazy I would appreciate some help thank you!
