Skip Season 5?

I’ve seen Dexter (the original series) straight through twice now. I’m watching it a third time, my boyfriend’s first time. We both are hating season 5. It feels very slow and I don’t remember caring about Lumen’s character.

If it were up to me we’d just skip it, but since it’s my boyfriend’s first time watching it at all… what do we think?
