Is their any 'good' veil tutorials?

I just learned fabric 2 months ago and started making a few mods. These were just basic mods like new items and blocks. However, one day I decided that I wanted to try to make shaders. Through enough google searches I learned that veil was the go-to for this kinda thing. When I looked at what people had done with it I was so excited to try to make my own.

However, when I tried to follow the tutorial I just couldn't. There is no quick start and everything is just so confusing. (I did manage to figure out how to install it to my maven) Youtube has no good tutorials either. I just want to mess around with lighting and then make a mod that uses it.

Do you guys know any tutorials or how to make directional lighting?
