Wrong Matchdates and Missing Cup Participation

I wanted to start a save file with my favorite team in the German 3rd division. I've noticed that my matches are mostly on Mondays, even though matches are never played on Mondays in real life. Also, I'm not participating in the DFB Cup, even though my team (in real life) won the Hessen Cup last season, which should qualify me. Is there any way to fix this?
