Experience with delayed circumcision?

My OB practice no longer offers circumcision at the hospital where I’ll be delivering. They’re recommending booking an appointment with an out-patient facility 8 days - 2 weeks after birth. They’re citing a delayed circumcision helps with successful breastfeeding… Literally no one I know has experienced this so looking for some insight. Thanks!
