Just received a police phone call to see if I am okay

Today I decided to meal prep for the week. My phone battery was low so I left it charging in another room. I checked my phone three hours later to see my mom sent a “good morning” text. Then I saw my brother called me an hour later saying my mom was worried. Then I saw the police called to say my mom was worried and the police were about to come check on me. This is all within a three hour timeframe.

While I greatly appreciate the love and care from my family, I feel like they sent out the alarms without giving me a chance to call or text anyone back. They do this once a year. It’s not like I wait five hours to reply. I was busy and hadn’t seen the messages yet. It is the first time they called the police. I also didn’t know the police would willingly check on someone after three hours.
