Microphone audio not working.

I am currently using a Sony WH720N, the bluetooth audio and mic work fine but when the mic is running it drastically lowers the quality of the audio. So I am now using the headset wired while on my pc. There is an issue though, when I plug my headset into my laptop the mic works fine but when I plug it into the back of my pc the mic is detected but detects no sound.

I am using an audio jack splitter in order to plug the mic and audio into the back of my motherboard. I tested the splitter on my laptop and it works completely fine.
My motherboard is an Asus Rog Crosshair VI extreme I plugged the mic end into the red port and the audio end into the green port.
I am using windows 11.
I have updated and reinstalled my realtek audio drivers.
Audio works fine from the motherboard audio ports.
