Man, I hate watching this happen all over again. I saw it in BF2042. Everyone was fed up with the dumb specialists, but the real, classic core classes were literally right there under our noses in PORTAL. And what did DICE do? Shitty server browser, limited XP. Perfect.

And now here we are in Battlefield 6, and it feels like history is repeating itself.

If someone wants to grind all their guns in a farm lobby and max their level, who cares? Let them. They’re still gonna come back for new content, or for that good old Battlefield feeling, or just to have fun. Not everyone’s playing just to grind weapons. Some grind weapons so they finally can have fun. Some just don’t have the time to grind hours in classic multiplayer, so they jump into an XP farm lobby to get it done. Then they can actually enjoy the game. How is that a problem?

Even if we ignore the bad decision to limit XP in Portal, there’s another huge issue. The Portal server browser is a joke. I think it was David Sirland? who said he gets why we need it and why it’s important. And yet we still don’t have it. Lobbies keep disbanding, the game keeps getting flooded with dumb official modes nobody asked for. It’s just bad.

The BF formula already works. We have all the modes we need. Escalation was actually a good addition. So why keep forcing more competitive crap or idiotic modes nobody wants? Why not just let the community make the modes we want? You literally gave us all the tools for it, but nope. No XP for user created content plus the WORLDS worst server browser ever. lol

DICE and BF Studios, seriously, just figure out what you want to do. This is getting ridiculous.

There’s so much awesome content being made by players in Portal. New maps, new modes, some even better than the official stuff (YOURS!). Stop holding it back. Drop the restrictions. Stop XP restrictions . Let the chaos spread.

Sure, some people will abuse XP FARM lobbies. So what? If you want a healthy community, a long-lasting player base, the kind that shows up every Friday to play whatever new map or mode someone in the community spent a week on, then give us XP. Give us FULL XP.

Look at Halo Forge. Counter-Strike 1.6. Half-Life. Those games thrived because of modding and user-created content on servers anyone could join. Fortnite, Roblox, Arma. All of them got huge because of user creativity, not stupid camo or gun grind.

Let us do our thing. It’s better for the game, both short- and long-term. Stop making bad calls. We saw how launch went with all the questionable choices. Don’t repeat that.

You maybe don’t get it, but restricting XP demotivates ppl from creating maps/modes for portal cause they know, no one will play those long term!

Thats all.

See you on the Battlefield!

BF6 is repeating the same mistakes from BF2042. The server browser is still terrible, XP for user-created content is nonexistent, and the game keeps adding pointless official modes nobody asked for. Meanwhile, the community is making amazing maps and modes in Portal that could thrive if only we had proper XP and Server Browser. Let players grind in farm lobbies if they want, let creativity run wild, and stop restricting content. Full XP, proper server browser, and community freedom are what will keep Battlefield alive long-term.

DICE, Fix the Server Browser and Give Us FULL XP in PORTAL! (STOP KILLING PORTAL)
