How much does shipping cost?

Hey! I recently sold my first item on Depop and i charged $10 for shipping. I have a friend who has shipped tank tops for $2 from Canada Post. But my dad was saying that shipping mail (papers) costs him $25-35 so now I’m just confused. Does anybody know how much shipping a pair of jeans from Ontario to Quebec would cost?
