Pvz2 question about modding

Hey I see lots of YouTubers have like for example maxed level plants (probably all of them) and lots and lots of gems and coins, and I also see alot of pvz2 mods like for example reflourished. I wanna know if you could actually get banned for this, I've been a vanilla player for all my life and damn I'm getting bored, so will you get banned if you mod the game? I have an account connected to ea from Facebook I think and if I mod the game would I get banned for this
