I replaced my oven igniter due to gas smell and detector detecting. Smell decreased and detector at 0 until placed on top of oven.

it seems to heat properly and eventually the smell goes away with detector at 0. in general it seems better than before but it still seem not proper. I don't think I should be smelling the gas for more than a moment after heating up.

supposedly the ingiter was for my oven, but it has 2 metal wings instead of 1. I had to bend the bottom one to it in. Is this an issue? should I check the placement of the ingiter? I don't think I had the best joining of it to the gas tube or whatever it's called.
