Angel face

poetry

Entering a gallery’s embrace,
Art so wondrous, I found my place.
No matter the cost, I had to own,
Every pound, a treasure shown.

An angel’s face, watercolors flow,
Eyes closed, yet colors glow.
Sunshine’s hues in vibrant display,
In the painting, I drifted away.

To a place where her face I knew,
An old friend’s memory, vivid and true.
“Your soul, how do you dwell here?”
Memories of glory, crystal clear.

The painting graces my wall,
The most beautiful of them all.
A friend in art, a call so near,
Though not on earth, her soul is here.
