New Energy System Isn't Helpful

I understand that it helps get through a lesson if you're struggling, but why the heck am I getting energy taken away for getting answers correct? Sometimes I'm on a roll and want to continue multiple lessons and now I can't do it. I don't understand why I'm being penalized for trying to practice and use the app more.
