MIL & baby expectations

My mil has been asking me to have a baby

ever since we got married, 6 months ago. I really don't want to have kids anytime soon and I don't know how to have this conversation with her without hurting her feelings. I'm also sad because all this makes me feel like my only purpose in her life if to have babies. Like i am a whole person, why can't she see me and like spending time with me first before wanting grandkids.
