care to help me decide on which pack? Gregory Jade or Osprey kite?

i love the daisy chain loops on the osprey but not sure i should has it off that. both seemed comfortable when i tried on at rei. i was measured with an 18 inch torso. the jade is 43 liters and the kyte comes in 48 and 38. it's for winter day hikes mostly in WMNF. other recs welcome.
