Partner wants to make plans for the night before his colonoscopy

Hi everyone!

My fiancé (24 M) has his first colonoscopy/ endoscopy coming up. It’s the day after a movie he’s been looking forward to is being released in theaters. He really wants to see it on premiere night, but his procedure is scheduled for early the next morning. I’m trying to talk him out of it, as I can’t imagine he’ll be in a state to leave the house that evening. He says it’ll be fine, but I don’t want to waste money on tickets when we could pick a different day to go.

What are your experiences with prep? Will he really be fine to sit for a 3 hour movie the night before his procedure?
