Videos of entering & exiting small ships & entering the pilot seat of bigger ships?

I've came across a video long ago of a player entering a pilot seat of a bigger ship. Your character just basically teleports into the seat. In the latest updates does your character still do that? I've been searching for videos about it with no luck. I saw a quick video about smaller ships were the player just teleported into the small ship as the cockpit glass was closing.

I'm curious because the game is on sale right now on steam & I'm thinking about grabbing it.
