Will I get into any legal trouble by ordering a bong online as a minor?

I was thinking about ordering a bong or pipe online, but I'm 17 and don't live in a legal state. Am I likely to get caught by the law? I figured I would, either because of my age or the state laws, but also that I'd ask because I honestly don't know. Also, if I would get caught, where along the process would I? The store obviously couldn't see my age, although they might ask for ID and I just haven't gotten that far in the buying process. Would it get caught by the post office through a scanner or something, or would the bank snitch to the cops when they saw my account bought something it shouldn't, or something else?
