Any issue with letting 3 day old suck my finger while breastfeeding?

We're avoiding the pacifier because we're breastfeeding but the post party nurses recommended letting him soothe on the finger. Im finding it hard to differentiate between this and letting him use the pacifier.

Should I stop? Let him suck my pinky? If I'm letting him suck the pinky, should I just let him use the pacifier?
