With the Broncos win over the Raiders, the earliest the Chiefs can take an AFC West Division lead now is Week 18.

No more wiggle room. Chiefs are likely out of the division, but there is still a theoretical pathway for them to make it. Here's what would need to happen for the Chiefs to take a division lead:

Kansas City Chiefs: Win Out

Denver Broncos: Lose Out

Los Angeles Chargers: Lose 2/3 of:

Week 14: vs Eagles
Week 16: at Cowboys

Week 17: vs Texans

The Chiefs will have the tiebreaker over the Broncos if both finish 11-6 due to conference record, but since the Chargers are already 4-0 in division and still have to beat the Broncos for this to work, they have 5 division wins compared to KC's 4, meaning that if they tie the Chargers would have the tiebreakers. They need at least 2 losses to get them to 10-7 or 9-8.

If they can't pull this off, this will break the longest division streak in the league at 9 straight years. Either the Broncos or Chargers would win the division.
