Spigen Liquid Air on PW4: How?

My wife got me a Liquid Air case for my watch, and I am just completely baffled by it. I've already got the Armor Pro case, which is a breeze to put on the watch and take off, but this new one is proving to be beyond my abilities. The instructions that come with it are basically useless, and I've been coming the internet for more detail and... well, nothing's helped. I'm really starting to think maybe the one I got is just defective. If it wasn't for others mentioning here that they use it, I'd be starting to doubt if it's even possible to make it fit the watch.

Is there some trick I haven't figured out yet? I swear I have fiddled with this thing for at least a couple hours now and the best I've been able to do so far is make it look like a misshapen black oval of rubber that covers a large amount of the face, doesn't fit the bottom at all, and really doesn't want to stay put.
