Does Gemini Code Assist have Custom Commands like Claude Code does?

As the title says. It's one of the things preventing me from using Gemini Code Assist more. I need my custom commands for most of my projects. When I ask various search/ai platforms if Gemini Code Assist has it, they say yes it does...but I can't find any documentation on it.
