Girlfriend found out I wanted to wait until marriage and is now upset at me
So me (M21) and my girlfriend (F21) have been dating and having sex for about a year now. I've always held the belief that sex is something I'd only ever want to do after I get married. These reasons are completely secular, and simply what I've developed from multiple relationships and research into sex/dating.
Basically, it was brought up in conversation and my girlfriend found out that I've always wanted to wait until marriage but didn't with her, and she is now upset at me and says that me doing that makes her feel awful. I asked her if she would have stayed with me if I was dead set on waiting until marriage, and she said no. I believe she is likely to leave me now (past two girlfriends left for the same reason).
This here is the problem I face though- I have always wanted a non-religious girlfriend who would want to wait until marriage to have sex with me. The unfortunate part of this though is that I have never met a single person like that in my entire life. Because of this, I have to compromise. To me, I have two solutions. I either A- keep my values intact and wait until marriage, and then get broken up with for doing so, or B- have sex before marriage, and then the girlfriend finds out I wanted to wait and breaks up with me for feeling bad about it.
So please I would love to know, is there a solution to my issue? Since my odds of finding a non-religious girl who wants to wait until marriage are close to zero, is it possible for me to successfully date someone? Or am I simply undateable?
In the context of this relationship, is it possible for me to salvage it?
TL;DR- Girlfriend found out I wanted to wait until marriage for sex and is upset that I had sex with her anyways. This has repeated itself throughout my life and I do not know how to solve it without simply giving up on relationships
