Detection indicator

How does it exactly work?

I have the helper on which tells me if I'm detected or not and when it's orange and there's the clock ticking there's a percentage sign at the bottom. Is it a glitch or what because no matter how low it is I'm still always spotted. Could be 95% or 2% and every time the alarms go off.

Don't even get me started with how even if I'm not spotted and the destroyers are searching they always seem to do a 180° and speed right towards me no matter what.
