I need advice on how I can help my aunt.

I’d like to start this with a TW for physical abuse, stalking/harassment and drugs.

I’m not going to say names for anonymity. I honestly don’t know how to help and this situation keeps getting worse and worse. My aunt has been in a DV relationship for about six years now and it’s only gotten worse. He’s gotten her addicted to drugs and uses it against her. He started with threatening her and our family when she’d leave and threatening to ruin her life. He was getting physical by pushing her and grabbing her but recently they got into an argument and he ended up choking her, she left and stayed at a hotel for a few days. He continued to text and call her and even tried looking for her.

My aunt has now gone back to him and we haven’t heard from her. They’re not at his house and he is sending a bunch of texts to my grandmother and mother. Saying he “got her back” and “they’re great together” and that my family needs to stay out of it. This is only what’s happened recently. He’s accused her of cheating and has threatened her guy friends through text. We’re considering going to the police at this point but I just need advice. We’re worried they might say we don’t have enough evidence. I really want to help her. Any advice will be really appreciated. I’m sorry if this sounds rushed, i’m just extremely worried.
