Australian women: How do you genuinely feel about dating a Black guy?

I’m a Black guy who’s been seriously considering moving to Australia for work and lifestyle reasons, and I’m genuinely curious about how Australian women feel when it comes to dating someone like me.

I know Australia is multicultural, and I’ve heard mixed experiences from different people — some say dating is super chill and open-minded, others say there can be cultural differences or stereotypes that come up. I’m not trying to generalize anyone or assume all women think the same; I just want honest perspectives from people who actually live there.

For Australian women (and honestly anyone who has dated or known Black men in Australia):

What’s your general attitude toward dating a Black guy?

Is interracial dating common where you live?

Do Black men get treated normally in the dating scene, or do they get fetishized / misunderstood / overlooked?

Are there certain things (cultural, social, family expectations) that make it easier or harder?

Do you think location matters (e.g., Sydney/Melbourne vs. smaller towns)?

I’m not asking for validation — just trying to understand what the actual dating environment is like over there so I know what to expect.
