What are you guys using for a camera?

I have just ordered my first dumbphone, and now I'm planning on getting a camera to carry around too since I love taking pictures of my friends and family. I'm sure some of you are in the same boat, so has anyone found a little compact camera under $100 that takes good photos?

I have been carrying around a digital camera from 2008 for years now and while I love using it to get some nostalgic looking photos I don't want to use as my primary camera. These are the main things I'm looking for:

• My digital camera takes ages to take a photo, there's like a 2 second delay between pressing the button and it taking the photo which is awkward and makes candids next to impossible. I'd like one that snaps the shot pretty instantaneously
• Good battery life
• I love it for the nostalgia, but I don't want all my pictures looking like they're from 2008. I don't need them to have iPhone quality, just something decent.
• My little camera can't capture anything without using flash. Unless flash is on the picture is blurry and too dark to see anything. This is the most important thing, I'd like it to have the ability to take pictures without needing flash.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it!
