Bugs galore after reviving my romance interest that’s not in my family. (Resolved)

It took me a whole day to revive my romantic interest. He was a mermaid apparently (he always wore jeans) and I had just ask for a proposal just for him to die right in front of me. FROM DEHYDRATION. I wooed him till death.

So I naturally DID EVERYTHING to get this man back, I started preparing to get the items for ambrosia, and after finally getting it- my sim- she made it herself and ATE IT while I was playing as the cat😭 I had maxed out my fishing, gardening and cooking for this.

Okay, so then I went to elixers, maybe I’ll figure out how to turn him into a zombie and cure him. Maxed out my alchemy. Just for them to not work. And the items were hard to get, I couldn’t find the ruby for the potent cure elixir and there was no option to zombify him when I went to toss it on him.

Mkay, I’m still determined to revive him.

So I used my 30K life points and summoned a genie. And that worked.

However he was my no longer my fiancée, and was my “boyfriend” and it was bugged. And there was no option to propose even though our relationship was maxed. So I had to break up with him and now I think I broke the bug 😭

I found the trick, once you make an advance like he’s your boyfriend again, leave the conversation and lot and sim. Wait a bit and call him over and then move onto romancing him to be a fiancée again. Leave that conversation and leave the lot. then wait a bit and call him over again and ask again to get married.

Wow. Anyway. Hope that helps anybody with this issue. The main issue he’s not a sim in my family lot. And I couldn’t for whatever reason add him to my family even with cheats. It was so bugged.
