"Water-focused" farming rant

vague title bc spoilers... i'm just so annoyed trying to set up my ocean farm.

the produce requirements for research development are particularly cruel. i did so much work on my island farm. i thought i finally had time to truly get to know everyone - BUT NO. BECAUSE NOW I HAVE TO MANUALLY "LUMINATE" ALL OF MY CROPS. AGAIN. IT TAKES SO!!! LONG!!! I DON'T HAVE THE TIME IN-GAME OR IRL.
