I read Wicthes Abroad for the first time

Reading Order/Timeline

I'm reading the novels in release order for the first time, and I finished Wicthes Abroad.

I had to wait a while for this one to arrive but it was well worth it. The witches are probably my favorite characters, after Death, in the series. So it was great to see them again, and get some more characterization from them.

Reading about them leaving a trail of newfound respect for women in their wake after traveling through the lands was hilarious.

Greebo casually eating a vampire (bat) and intimidating a pack of Wolves and even a Bull. ^^

The whole trip towards Genua was just fun. After Wyrd Sisters my favorite of the three was Nanny Ogg, but now it may be Granny Weatherwax.

Don't get me wrong, I still love Nanny and her brazen way of just scoring food and drink wherever she goes (shes my hero).

After this one though, Granny reminds me a bit of the Doctor from Doctor Who. Being cautious with her power because it would be easy to be tempted is a theme that has come up in Doctor Who some times. Also, Granny reminds me a bit of the 12th Doctor, who is my favorite.

Glad to see Magrat get a bit more confindence, especially when she gave Granny a piece of her mind. Whether she's right or not, telling Granny off took a lot of courage and it's about time she's got some.

The whole aspect of stories having a life of their own was right up my alley. I love stuff like this and Sir Terry delivered.

Overall this may be my new favorite. I'd probably have to read Mort again to decide.
