I might need help again
So I took some advice from the comments on my last post (thank you all so much for the help) and also read a few of her books. I decided to make a sort of short story for her, would it be alright if I got a few tips on my writing? By the way, I've never done this before so ill take any tips
December 24, 2025. That's when he found me, by myself, in a crop top and shorts outside of a club, crying. “Are you alright?” he asked. His voice was deep, soft and calm, yet somehow loud enough for me to hear over the raging snowstorm. “I don't even know,” I replied. “I just want to go home.” This handsome stranger put his coat over me and helped me up to his car. I would've said something, probably thought of this as a creep about to abduct me, but all that already happened, I thought of it as nothing that could make the day worse. After a few seconds of walking, we arrived at his car. He unlocked it and opened the passenger side door for me. Now, as I said, normally this would have alarms in my brain screaming at me to run, run as far away as I can. Either it was the things that happened that night or the hypothermia, my brain thought it was perfectly fine the way it was. This man, who randomly came up and asked if I was okay, not even introducing himself, but as if he had read my mind with those eyes of his, introduced himself. “I'm Zade, by the way. What's yours?” Zade asked
“Abigail… my name is Abigail,” I said timidly, or because my body heat was dangerously low.
“Abigail,” he said like a prayer, “what a beautiful name.”
“Thank you”
“So what's someone like you doing crying in the cold on Christmas Eve?”
I paused, not sure how to tell him and not too sure what had happened.
“Brain a bit fuzzy?” Zade asked, reading my mind again. I nodded, and he smiled. And then he asked something no one would say yes to, except me.
“May I take you home?”
My body froze, not sure how to respond. I wanted to say, please just let me feel safe, let me feel something I haven't all night, but I didn't. I simply nodded my head.
any tips would help, thanks in advance!
