Looking for Advice: CZ 600 Trail vs MRA Renegade/Maverick
I’m trying to pick a non-restricted manual-action rifle mainly as a fun range gun, but something that can still handle practical shooting from close range out to about 300 yards. I’d like feedback from anyone who owns either platform.
What I want the rifle for:
- Fun range use with some practical applications
- 10 to ~300 yard shooting
- Common calibers (.223 preferred)
- Works well with an LPVO
- Something compact, accurate, and enjoyable to run
Rifles I’m considering:
- MRA Renegade / Maverick (straight pull): I like the AR-style feel and fast cycling, but I’m unsure about overall user experience.
- CZ 600 Trail: Compact, AR-mag compatibility in .223, and seems like a solid general-purpose option.
What I’m looking for:
Real-world feedback, pros/cons, and general impressions from owners of either rifle.
