Final Songbird Spaceport Mission Driving Me Nuts

Phantom Liberty - Final spaceport tower defense for Songbird is driving me crazy. It's one of the most obnoxiously difficult fights in the whole game. I have managed to kill all the enemies ONCE, only to die to a drone which for some reason had a massive health pool. Usually they die to 2 or 3 pistol shots, this one I unloaded multiple clips into it and it still was above half health.

I have been tearing my hair out trying to finish this mission for 3 days, just dying over and over and over to obnoxious amount of Black Ops who spawn in right behind you sometimes.

Anybody else have trouble with this mission? I googled it thinking there would be hordes of posts relating to this but there are none. Am I just bad? I'm running a crit pistol sneaky build and so I am a glass cannon, but even with respeccing (which has to be done every time because you can't save), I'm still getting destroyed.
