I have my xbox one controller plugged into my pc. My headset will play audio but my mic won’t work

I tried everything to get my mic to work. I clicked the button to unmute. I allowed access to my mic in the gamebar, xbox app, windows. I tried mic tests and cannot hear anything. I have my controller set as default for all audio and mic. Any other ideas?
